POLL: Does your dog, like cats?

All of my dogs like cats.  I have a golden, three Westies, and a cat.  The cat loves to sleep with Gracie, the golden.  She sometimes sleeps with the Westies.  Katza also likes to get in front of the Westies (especially one--Treasure) do a little dance and then run so she will chase her.  Treasure never hurts her, in fact, when it is over she will usually just try to play with her. They are really funny to watch.

When we first got Jade, she would jump over Shadow, which disturbed him when he was laying down. He knocked a bit of fur off of her once. Scared her another time. Anyway, a few other times in the last year, she would jump across him and he would do nothing and I would reward that. Now, she jumps across him at will and he does nothing. Also, when she wants to pick a fight she will do what cats do. She offers her side and arches her back to appear more intimidating. To a dog, side presentation is a calming signal and so he thinks she's being cool and nothing to worry about and he continues his nap, or whatever.

I am very fortunate that my dog and cat seem to be really good mates. They look out for each other and even sleep closely sometimes. awwwww, so cute :) 

My cats like the dogs and the dogs like the cats. The cats chase the dogs more often than the dogs chasing the cats.  They stalk them in the grass and jump on them when they run by.  It is hilarious to watch the dogs jump when the cats pounce on them.  They are all the same size so no harm done or intended.  It's just funny to watch them play.  My cats were raised around dogs since they were tiny and my Bernese Mt Dog mothered the kittens.  I have pictures of it somewhere.  If I find them I will post them.  Actually, you can see the pictures and read about my rescued kitten Solstice here
