Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Hi i just signed up to become a new member of the rainbow bridge, i learned about u through a local private organization here in my country Philippines; it is named Philippine Animal Welfare Society or PAWS.

    Today, my heart is hardly paining over a loss of my dearest dog named SEBASTIAN at 9:00 a.m philippine standard time...it's so hard to accept his loss and i feel that i cant move on anymore...please help me how to get over frm this nightmare...he died of kidney failure at a very young age at 2 years old....so young, i cannot understand why God has taken him away so early...Please extend some words of condolences....

     I'm so sorry for your loss! It is very hard to lose them so young.

    Aww Cecilia I am so sorry.  I've lost a dog to kidney failure -- it is a horrible thing.  It can attack the young and the old.  It is never easy, and is a horrible way to lose a dog.  Please hang around here - it *will* help you.

    You need to have time to grieve your loss. Time is the only thing that will help you heal.  It's so hard to lose our beloved dogs and especially so young.  My heart understands how you feel and I will pray for you to find comfort and peace.  Sebeastian is not suffering and is playing and running free with no cares and no pain.  He looks down on you and wants you to know that he is ok now.

    Celia, I am so sorry for your loss!  Just know that Sebastian is in a happy place he has no more pain or suffering.  He misses you but there are so many waiting to welcome him at the bridge!  I  turned to my friends here when I lost Shadow (our heartdog) at the age of 4 to cancer suddenly, they were so helpful, I still cry on occasion. I love my boys, Hot Shot and Rocky but still miss Shadow.   When you have had some time, you will be able to celebrate his memory... we will all get to see our furr babies again when we cross the bridge.  Lean on us, we will help get you through this!

    My heart goes out to you.  I'm so sorry to hear about Sebastion.  What a GRAND name that is!  Something that helps me when I'm feeling sad about any of my babies that have crossed the Bridge is this link....http://community.dog.com/forums/p/11874/150661.aspx#150661.  I go there & see all the loved ones that have crossed & I feel less sad.  For some reason seeing all the furry faces makes me smile & I feel a lot better.
