Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    We made the tough decision to let him go this morning. It's been so rough these last two weeks for all of us. It just seems so unfair that we've had this happen three times with puppies and so unfair we never get answers. Godspeed, Hiro.

    I am so sorry to hear about Hiro.  My thoughts are with you today!  Run free Hiro!  Run and play with all our beloved babies that have already gone to the bridge.

    There just isn't a good enough "reason" for the loss of our furkids.  The simple truth they bring with them and the love they give so gracefully is amazing.  Even if you had a "reason" you would not be happier. You would not give up easily , like us you would still hope there was a bit of magic out there that could help him stay with you for ever.

    My Jasmine has been gone 14 days today  and I am still reaching for her, opening doors and this morning made her a food dish and was halfway back to the room  before it hit me she was not there waiting for me...

    JUst know it hurts so badly because they meant so darn much !!

    It's just so hard.... We lost two dogs in a week and two days. One was a puppy which makes it even harder...

    I'm so very sorry in the loss of your little one.  So many people understand how you are feeling, but to lose a pup is so much harder.  I am so so sorry.

    Hugs for you from Bonnie and me.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I know April will enjoy now, Hiro's company at the bridge, she loves little doggys.

    It's difficult enough to deal with the loss of one dog, but to lose two in such a short time must seem overwhelming. I'm so sorry for your losses. Run free Hiro.

    Polly (my little pup who died from her abuse injuries) met him and may still be running him ragged -- in fact, she's probably led the "Puppy Brigade" to him. 

    Laurelin -- I'm so sorry -- please don't think I'm making light of this.  It's been 4 years and I still cry heavily every time I think about my little Pollyanna.  Some of them just never get a chance.
