Goodbye, Tango...

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

You made a promise to protect her and you did.  May the joy you found in her life soon bring smiles to accompany your tears.

I am so awfully sorry for your loss. Tango had a loved life with you and you helped her when she needed it. Lots of comforting thoughts going your way.

Poor sweetheart. I'm so sorry. She was a beautiful girl and I always looked forward to seeing her pictures. She knows how much she was loved.

    Run free, sweet Tango.

I'm so stunned and so very, very sorry for your startling loss.  I know the decision was not an easy one, but prolonged suffering would have been such an indignity for a young, active and lively dog.  Wishing you comfort at this very, very difficult time and peace for beautiful Tango.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  I am so shocked, I loved seeing photos of Tango and Dance.  I agree that you did right by her.  You are all in our thoughts and prayers...Run free Tango, run free...

I'm echoing everyone else but I have to say how sorry I am for your loss. I also enjoyed photos of Tango and Dance. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. Run Free Tango.

I know how you feel. As the vet said to me when I was faced with a similar situation, "there are no wrong decisions in this room today."

And it's perfectly okay to mourn this way for Tango. I didn't cry when my mother passed away but I cried when I had to have my cat, Misty go to sleep. We grieve each death in a different way. You did what was right for her and you did it bravely, as evidenced by the pain that you suffer. And now, Tango runs free and runs fast, as if there never was a problem.

I don't usually look here because of how sad it makes me. I am so sorry to hear about Tango. (Since I have a thing for orange dogs, especially yours.)

I know it was a hard decision, but you did what was best for Tango.

I am just seeing this and was so shocked and saddened when I did. Tango was such a pretty girl and I always enjoyed seeing your pictures of her. It just doesn't seem fair for her to be taken so young.

My sincere sympathies go out to you.

Oh how sad!  I saw the title and thought, no, surely not!  I'm so sorry for your loss and for such an awful decision to make.

I'm so sorry!  Run free Tango!

I'm just shocked to hear of Tango's passing. I'm sorry for your loss and you made the best thing for her, she enjoyed her life with you know that she waiting for you at the rainbow bridge for the day she can be with you once again. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

That is so sad, and I send tons of hugs and prayers your way.

    She is a beautiful dog.

If it helps, I can sort of relate.. because I had to put one of my dogs to sleep a few months ago. She (Lassie) was in such bad shape that none of her medicines were doing anything to help, and just about the same thing happened. One night we had a thunderstorm and she's terrified of those. She lived with my aunt because she was our dog but my aunt took her in willingly because she had a bigger yard, and she was a big dog and she needed to run. Anyway, the night of the thunderstorm it took 3 people to lift her inside because she wouldn't move. I think it was the next day.. she was laying on her bed, unable to move, except for her head. She was urinating on herself, it broke my heart.

I know it isn't the same, and I know you don't know me.. but I'll always be here if you ever need anyone to talk to.
