Goodbye Shari 10-22-90 ~ 6-13-06

Shari is at the Bridge now, running through snow drifts and practicing for the Iditarod.

She went peacefully at 12:30 p.m.

She is buried at my human best friend's farm.

I will never forget you.

Thanks to all who posted in the other thread, for your kind thoughts, prayers, and support.

I am sitting here at work crying for both of you! I hope you have much comfort and peace.

Tina - with tears streaming down my face I write this to you to tell you that I'm so sorry for your loss. If you need to talk or just tell stories about Shari please PM me.

Just know that beautiful girl is romping at the bridge and hopefully my Beau was able to meet her and show her around ... he's been there 12 years now. He was a wonderful boy who loved life and loved his family, and I know he's doing his best to make all who are new to the bridge comfortable.

Tina,

You gave her your respect, love and companionship for many years. You also loved her so much you let her go on to the bridge. For that she will always love you for being the best human caretaker she ever had.
My heart is filled with sadness over your grief. Know I am here, we are all here to lift you up on high.

Tina,
My heart is breaking for you, honey. I've got tears streaming down my face. I wish I could give you a great big hug and tell you everything would be okay, but for now I'll just send you a cyber hug.

She is free now though, and the great i-dogs who have passed on are waiting to greet her and show her around at the bridge. Candy and Sage are there, I can guaruntee it.

On Monday nights there is a candle-lighting ceremony (in a chat room) at petloss.com It connects you with other people who have lost pets as well. You will need lots of tissues, but it is really healing. It kept me from going rock bottom when I lost Candy.

Oh Im so sorry, Im crying for you. I know how hard this is for you, and I know you know the whole she had a great long life part, but its true. She had such a wonderful home with you and forever will be with you. You did the right thing and let her go peacefully.

Hugs to you, get some rest and dream of your girl running whole at the Bridge. Im so sorry Tina.
