Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

     At 10am this morning, Jackson was sent to the Rainbow Bridge.

     Oh, boy.  What a difficult struggle you've been trying to fight on his behalf.  So tough.  I'm really sorry, Susan, but we all know that was not an easy decision and you selflessly did what was right for him, I'm sure.  ((hugs))

    My heart truly goes out to you. I know how hard it is to make that decision and all the turmoil that surrounds it before and after.

    I am going to share something so recently said to me with you: “

    Time spent with a dog is never wasted, and tears shed for a dog are never trivial.”

    I'm so sorry to hear of Jackson's passing.  From what others have posted, I'm assuming he'd been ill (I'm not on Facebook, if you'd been posting there).  A few years ago, we had to make the decision to help our beloved dog cross after a few months of failing health, so I know how physically and emotionally exhausting it is to go through this.  It seems like nothing will make you feel better . . . but it helped me to know that others understood what I was going through.

    Sending lots of strong vibes to you and everyone in your household at this very sad time.  Run free, Jackson.

     Such sad news.  My heart hurts for you (I lost 2 dogs and a cat this year alone).  Hold on to memories of the good times.  RIP Jackson, have a happy romp at Rainbow Bridge, healthy and pain free again.  Hugs to you.
