Marty, what a beautiful tribute you made for Winnie. She was definitely a sweetheart - you can see it in her pictures and in your description. As I mentioned in my other post when you told us Winnie was at the Bridge, I asked Tonka to look out for her. He has a special girlfriend Basset there with him named Zoie, but he was happiest with lots of girls around him, so I know he'll watch over her, too. And, he loved bread (especially crusty French bread), as well as a good, squishy couch, so he'll be able to show her where to find those things for herself, too.
I know how much your heart hurts right now. Sending hugs your way. I also wanted to tell you about a really wonderful children's book I just found last week (I got it for DH and put it under the Chrtistmas tree from Tonka). It's called
Dog Heaven, and it's so sweet, with heart-warming illustrations. You might like to add it to your memory collection/scrapbook for Winnie.
Winnie, watch over your Mom on these long, sad days. She wants to feel your spirit by her side. And tell my boy that I love him and miss him dearly. [sm=angel.gif]
