I don'[t know who has heard and who hasn't, and if this is posted anywhere else, but on July 20th, 2006, the breed lost a great dog.
Ch Kismet's Sight For Sore Eyes, HT, PT, aka "Dallas" died at the age of 13, from what appears to be a stroke.
Dallas was never really my kind of dog, but he was out herding at the ages of 11 and 12 years old, he has produced some dogs that I absolutely adore, and he really did make his mark on the GSD breed, some for better, some for worse.
He was an extremely important animal to the fancy and to people, he never received a GV title, but he was a dog worthy of finishing a championship, and even in his old age, he proved he could do what a Shepherd was bred to do.
He was not my dog, and he was a dog I'd only met once, and even though he was "not for me" I still feel a huge loss, and wish Joan, Jimmy, and the other my greatest condolences on thes loss of Dallas
