Run free, Wiley.

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Run free, Wiley.

My sister in law's sweet Chihuahua Wiley got help crossing over the bridge this afternoon. He had rapidly advancing bone cancer. Now he is in no pain. We love you little Sir, say hi to Roscoe and Trinket for me.

Aww, bless his heart.  I was wondering about him.  So much pain with that ... now he's playing all over the place!  Have fun, Wiley!

They knew it was time when he stopped coming out (he started living in the closet) and eating and even drinking were hurting his jaw. Poor guy, I adored him. He is the dog who showed me Chihuahuas can be awesome dogs. He changed my mind and heart. That lesson will never go away.
