Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    I'm too worked up to go into detail but Sadie crossed over tonight.  She lost her battle to AIHA due to secondary complications.  I just wish I could have been there with her to help her cross.

    I love you very much my beautiful.  You were too young to go but there are lots of things to do at the bridge while you wait for me. 

    I'm going to miss you everyday and every hour.  You'll forever be with me in my heart.

    We lost so many good animals on idog today. I'm so sorry to hear that sadie didn't make it :( *big hugs to you* she is in good company at the bridge.

    Oh no, not another pup. Sad  I'm crying for all the amazing creatures the board has lost today.  At least Sadie will have some other new kids to learn the ropes with.  (((hugs)))

    Oh .... John, there are just NO words.  I am soooooo sorry.  David and I are both blown away with you ...

    Sadie ... Sweetie, there will be a little MOstlie Sheltie named Foxy and a buffy English cocker named Muffin the Intrepid waiting for you at the bottom of The Bridge (with a ton of others) ... Foxy will pester you for "news" but there could be none better to show you around Rainbow Bridge cos trust me, darlin ... HE knows **everbuddy** (he's a herder - he's gotta keep track of everbuddy!) but he'll herd you with all the bestest intentions but Foxy "gets" IMHA so he unnerstands. 

    Sadie, you will be so missed ...

    Oh my gosh, what a horrible day it had turned out to be for so many. Poor Sadie girl, but she is now running free, healthy and pain-free as can be. *hugs*
