We love you Wolfie..

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    We love you Wolfie..

We had to let our cat Wolfie go to the bridge this morning.  He was only 5 years old and died of cardiomyopathy.  It just came out of nowhere.  One day he was running around the house like a maniac, the next day he couldn't walk and was in critical condition.  Twice we were going to let him go and each time he rallied and seemed so ALIVE that we couldn't do it.  But this morning he took a turn for the worse and we had to let him go.  He was one cat living with 6 dogs and he was the best.  We will never forget you my handsome boy....I just can't stop crying right now.

I'd put some pics up if I could figure out how - I'm too devastated at the moment..

I am so sorry to hear about Wolfie. He is now free from pain and running with all his new friends. Looking forward to seeing pics. of Wolfie when you feel alittle better.

I'm so sorry about Wolfie. I had a similar situation with my cat, Java.  He died of a blood clot.  One day he was leaping around like his normal healthy self, the next day suddenly his back end was paralyzed and 2 hours later he was dead.

     Run free, Wolfie!

I'm so sorry. We lost a cat at a very young age too; his immune system was attacking his blood cells. A transfusion rallied him for a day, but then he quickly became weak again and we had to help him over the bridge. Run free Wolfie.

I'm so sorry you lost your special kitty boy so young and that his illness was so swift and I wish you comfort in knowing you gave him a wonderful life and he knows how loved he was.  I know you are shell shocked and feeling his loss so keenly - we lost our sweet, sweet kitty boy Iggy just 6 weeks ago also after a brief, but relentless illness.  I am still finding it hard to understand how he could be vibrant just a few months ago and then suddenly and clearly so unwell.

Romp free, Wolfie, with no pain and knowing you were treasured here on earth.  If you see a charcoal grey kitty with brilliant green eyes, it is Iggy and he is a very friendly cat.  He'll know where all the best sunspots are and he'll be willing to share...
