Magic, my sweet Irish Greyhound...

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Magic, my sweet Irish Greyhound...

went to The Bridge on Thursday. She fought the brave fight with a malignant growth in her chest.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Just know that she is no longer in pain and she is running free again.

I am with you in healing hopes and prayer.  My Murphy followed Magic 5 days later on St. Patrick's Day....I am so sorry and I truly feel your loss.

    Thanks for your replies.

I'm sure others understand the feeling.... it sucks.

Bless your heart I know the pain your feeling.  Peace be with you and your dear little dog that is now running free of pain with my little April.

I wanted to extend my deepest sympathies at this time.  We all know there are no words at a time like this.  Be well and be strong.

    Well, Magic is now "home."

A rather strange day... first the call that Magic had been returned. Then checking the mail and finding a beautiful card from the waitress who provides the prime rib, chicken, etc from a wonderful local restaurant. Also, a box from my dear friend, Marilyn, with a glass heart etched with a grey and "Magic."

I was good until we pulled up to park at the vet's. Gus began whining uncontrollably. The last time we were there was when I took Magic in and left Gus in the CRV.

    'nuff said.
