Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    We let Shadow go yesterday.   We are so sad to lose him.  I thank this wonderful community for your help and support. I wanted to share some of our memories in his honor.  I have put some of my favorite pictures on the photo page. 

    I am not sure I understand about the Rainbow Bridge, sounds like a wonderful place for my sweet Rottie to be.

    I am so sorry for your loss.  At least he's not hurting anymore and is running free with all the other dogs at the bridge.

    I am so very sorry to hear about Shadow.  I looked at his pictures and he was such a very handsome dog, a dog to be so very proud of.  I know he knew just how very much you loved him and he loved you back with a love that only a dog can have.  I know how you miss him, but remember all of the good and wonderful times you had together.  Honor him with pictures and words.  I know he is having fun running with all of the other pups at Rainbow Bridge, and my little Sophie girl.  Someday you'll see him again at the Bridge.
