Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Don't worry everyone, Pirate is A-OK!

    I work for a pet sitting company over the holidays, and we've been caring for a JRT pup named Casper. He hadn't been feeling well and had been throwing up bile while he was in our care. Unfortunately, he had ingested something poisonous and was in kidney failure. We took him to the ER vet this morning, but it was too late and his owners opted to put him to sleep.

    Run free, sweet babyface Casper. I hope you have lots of chewies at the bridge!

    Any Idea what he got into?  It can be so tough with a puppy -- they get into Mom's purse or someone drops a couple of Tylenol on the floor and that's all it takes.  Tylenol is such poison to them.  But that made it tough on you -- not what you want to have happen while the owners are away.  *sad*

    No idea. The e-vet guesses whatever he got, it was while the owners were home.
