Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    r.i.p bubby...

my moms min pin pup died on monday.
he got really sick and just died.he was from a back yard breeder im pretty sure. One of my mothers friends had the pups and Im not sure what the story was, she only charged 50 for the pups, thats not enough to pay for all their shots and worming and such. so in other words, shredder didnt have ANY shots whatsoever. And we all know that in this day and age,its almost impossible to have  a pup survive without any shots, including parvo preventative.
You will be missed Shredder (aka bubby) We miss you very much.

I gave my mom a big long lecture about how next time she wants a puppy, she should go to a reputable breeder or a shelter. Plenty of puppies there and they already have shots and such. I told her she needs to take her next pup straight to the vet and get it cared for right away to prevent this kind of thing from happening again.

I'm really going to miss that little beasty. He really loved to jump and run about the house at full speed. Now he can do that all he wants without any chairs or walls to stop him from running. He can run as far as his littl bitty puppy heart can run.

    R.I.P

P.s. ill add a pic to this post as soon as i find it.

If you have any idea this pup died from parvo or distemper MAKE SURE your Mom knows she can't have another puppy for TWO years.  Because particularly with parvo, that disease will hibernate in the yard for that long!!   A 'cheap' pup from a backyard breeder will cost you more in the long run, for sure.  What on earth made her think the dog didn't need initial shots for a pup?

She knows they need shots. Lets not blow up on my mother here. She has another dog also. Shes bleached the floors and had professionals clean the carpets couches and other such that the puppy could get to.
Her 'friend' told her he had his parvo shot but that's all. (mother just informed me this morning when talking to her).
He wasnt showing any signs of parvo, My step dad didnt exactly like the dog...I actually witnessed him kicked it numerous times ( when i was up there this summer) I told mom and she Laid it down on him good. My step dad is a real heartless jerk, redneck at that. Who knows, maybe he could have killed the poor thing.
Mom had taken Bubby to the vet and he said that it didnt look like parvo at all, but death of natural causes.
yeah ok....My step dads got some serious complaining. Mom said she'll be turning him into the spca if she find out he's been abusing her dogs.

why she stays with him i have no clue.
This was OT majorly. This is about animals who've passed on. if you'd like to discuss his death issues further, please PM me, i'd rather not have my mother tagged on a public forum, unless im POSITIVE it was her fault.
