The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    I am very sorry for your losses. I know how you feel, I lost both of mine within six months of each other, one was very old, 15, and had numerous health issues, it was only money and medicine that kept her alive as long as she did, the other was only 8, five weeks after she was diagnosed with lymphoma she was gone also. I know how hard it is, I wish you peace and wonderful memories of the times you had with them. We never really get over loosing them, we just learn to live without them.
