Tribute to TUTU/ PUPPYMILLS NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

Tribute to TUTU/ PUPPYMILLS NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN

Hi Everyone - I usually don't send things like this out but I want you all to see our little TuTu.   TuTu was released from the puppymill on January 20th and went to The Bridge on January 30th.  Ten short days.  Ten short days is all she had to enjoy a new treat she'd never had before...turkey jerky.  She loved it so much.  Ten short days is all she had to know that there was such a thing as soft, warm beds.  Ten short days is all she had to have her breakfast and supper served especially for her.  Ten short days to have no pain in her mouth.  Monday night she was yelling at me because I didn't get her supper ready fast enough.  Watch her video that Jamie so lovingly put together.  It doesn't have any sound.   It shows that she was having a hard time breathing.  It's hard to watch.  [linkhttp://web.mac.com/jamies3/iWeb/Rainbow%20Bridge/Tutu.html]http://web.mac.com/jamies3/iWeb/Rainbow%20Bridge/Tutu.html[/link] TuTu weighed all of 4.9 pounds.  She was only 9 years young, which was only half of what her life span should have been.  When she came here, she went to the dogtor right away to get her rotten toofers taken out.  She only lost 5 and the dogtor had to leave 2 in because he was afraid that her little tiny jaw would shatter if he tried to take them out.  Because all the rest of her toofers had rotted out a long time ago, the infection in her gums and jaw flowed through her tiny little body, eroding her trachea.  The dogtor said her trachea was one of the narrowest he'd ever had to deal with.  She could barely breathe because her trachea had collapsed a long time ago. I had made the decision to take today off to help her to The Bridge but she left me last night, just before I got home from work.  The urine around her was still warm and so was she.  I wrapped her in a blanket and sat and held her and kissed her little head and cried and cried and cried for her.  It was a hard, hard decision to make - to help her leave.  She was still running to greet me when I came home at night and she loved eating and loved treats and I wanted her to have as many days of that as she could get.  I waited too long and I have to live with that. Most of the many, many kids who have come out of this pawticular mill have lasted less than 5 months, with the exception of only a couple.  This mill should be shut down and even though the Dept of Ag knows about this place, they do nothing.  We've worked with this woman to take all the kids she will give us but now I'm going to work to shut her down.  For good.  She shouldn't be allowed to do this anymore. ;Please take a minute and watch TuTu's video, look at her little face and say a little prayer for her and all the other kids who are still in all the mills across the country.  Do what you have to do to shut these places down.  Please.  Report these places.  Have your friends report these places.  Just get them shut down.  Do it for all the kids you've rescued and all the kids who still need to be rescued. ;Please cross post this message to everyone you know.   Chris
Hug and kiss your kids like there's no tomorrow.

That was so heartbreaking, I can't imagine being there in person. Oh Tutu and all the other poor babies! What more can we do to stop this horrific torture, it's despicable.

While I can't bare to watch the video, I just want to say you showed Tutu love for those 10 days... something she deserved and finally got from YOU!  It's hard to decide whether to help them over to The Bridge or not... I thought about it so often when FeFe became sick.  Tutu made that decision for you...

Unfortunately, we all know the pain you're feeling.  You're in my thoughts & prayers.

Run free, Tutu... you were loved.  [sm=angel.gif]
