Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    I don't consider myself an angel, I just did what was right when her previous human could not.  No dog that lived as long as she did deserved her last days at animal control. 

    Ah, but you are an angel with big beautiful wings.  You, my dear, are the one person that made Agnes as happy and as comfortable as possible during her days.  My tears flow for you reading this thread...I'm so sorry for your loss.

    ((TINA)) My heart aches with you.  It seems like just yesterday I was just where you are. You gave Queen Agnes the best possible gift ever.  Devotion & true love.  I know that Maghee was one of hte first to greet her heart sister at the Bridge.  They both took a deep, lung filling breath together and ran off to find some munchies.

    Tina, I'm so sorry to hear of Agnes and her passing.  You were a great mom to her and I'm sure she knew this.

    Tina, you may not think you are an angel, but you amaze and inspire me. I know Agnes is resting easier and had a far gentler transition from this life due to your love, care and kindness.

    Agnes's remains are now home with me.
