Rest In Peace sweetheart...

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Rest In Peace sweetheart...

My dear little Sunny Bunny passed away sometime last night/early this morning. :'( I got him when he was 8 weeks old.
He was six years old. He had quite an attitude and was full of spunk. He was my first rabbit....it feels so weird to say "was".....I miss him already. I've been snuggling my other bunny, Emma, all morning.

Rest In Peace my beloved Sunny Bunny, you will be missed but not forgotten. I hope you are happy up there.

What a sweet bun ... I truly love rabbits, but I'm horribly allergic.  I have several friends who do rabbit rescue and they can be SO intelligent and such incredible companions.  I have one friend who has a huge rabbit that walks on lead with her (and is, of course, housetrained).

My thots and prayers for you ... and Sunny lept over Rainbow Bridge only to find other lops and other bunnies there, and DOGS who love bunnies too!  One of my friends who did bunny rescue, also did dobie rescue, and her biggest dobie, "Magnum" loved them.  She always used to find him curled up with one or the other.  And I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that Magnum was right there waiting at the foot of the Bridge this morning -- he would most definitely have appointed himself Head Greeter of Bunnies!!  And his best friend, Lady Olivia (a lop herself) would have also been there.

    leap long and happily Sunny!

Aww, I'm so sorry. I love bunnies, and Sunny Bunny was a cutie. Run free, boy.

So sorry for your loss - what a cute li'l hopper he was, too.  Love the picture of him all stretched upward!

Wishing you comfort and peace for your sweet Sunny Bunny.

IrishSetterGrl, I am sorry about Sunny Bunny.  A bunny with spunk is fun and I am sure you have great memories.  When I was a kid we had a Dutch Rabbit so I know how much one can get attached to these soft ones.  Take care.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet bunny.  The photos you posted are darling.  I've never had a bunny, but I "baby-sat" for a former neighbor's rabbit many times a few years ago, and I really enjoyed him.  He was so soft, and he had the sweetest little face.  When he died, I felt very sad, even though I only saw him periodically.

I hope your memories of your special bunny warm your heart as you mourn his loss.

Sunny Bunny -- what an adorable face (and name too).  I've never had a rabbit but always wanted one when I was younger.  Love that second photo... the spunk you described is very apparent.  I'm so sorry for your loss.

Run & Hop Free, Sunny Bunny [sm=angel.gif]
