Kota

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

This is Kota finally. we lost her on Aug 30th. She is still very very missed and very much loved.

SHe had a lot of attitude at 8 weeks, loved the snow, always was by my side when I was tending the flowers, and the picture of her with me was the last Fall she was with us. She already had cancer then that was affecting her leg, but we still hadn't gotten a right diagnosis then. we buried her in the flower bed so she could always be near by when I'm tending the flowers and whenever they bloom there I will think of her. Having a Kota of our own your post is particularly poignant.  She was obviously deeply adored and love you back every bit as hard!! I have a candle glowing on my mantle to celebrate her amazing spirit and life.  It dances and draws the eye , while scenting our room with jasmine the scent of remembrance.  chase the celestial bunnies Kota, keep them away from the heavenly gardens till Momma and you are together to tend  them once more...

Hugs Julie, My girl passed 159 days ago, I can finally breath through the pain and am once more dreaming sweet , sweet dreams of my girl and our time together...

Julie, I know how hard it is to stop hurting.  She was a beautiful dog and those puppy pic's are adorable.  It's great you have her with you in your garden and in your heart.

It is one of life's greatest blessings to have a fine dog in your life. And Kota was such a dog. In our hearts and minds, forever.

    Run free, Kota.

Julie, what a beautiful tribute to Kota.    Even tho time has passed we do miss them - they own a piece of our hearts.   Whether you are in the garden or not, I'd bet that Kota's spirit is with you.   Some bonds will always transcend time and space.

Thank you all for all the very kind words. It is good to meet people who understand how hard it can be to lose a friend. Julie

Julie I feel your loss so closely, we lost Shadow 1 year ago yesterday also to cancer.  He and Kota looked so much alike as puppies.  I posted some of his pics in Memory of Shadow.  He also loved to garden with me, he would carry limbs and water hoses for me, lol!  We can count ourselves lucky to have been blessed with our Rotties.
