• Diann Cooke Posted : 5/7/2006 10:37:06 PM Thank you all for your replies.It helps so much to know there are friends out there that care.Shedra was extra special to us.We moved to Australia from South Africa nearly four years ago and we brought her accross with us.She went blind at the age of 9 and was so brave. • tacran Posted : 5/8/2006 3:02:57 PM It is a tribute to you and to the wonderful care you gave her that Shedra lived such a long life.  Many people would not have taken the extra effort you did to accommodate her blindness, not to mention taking her with you on a cross-continent relocation!  You were clearly a devoted and loving friend to her.  You were blessed to share your lives with each other.    I'm so sorry for your heartbreak; I know how awful it is.  We lost our boy 4 months ago, and the pain is still very raw.  I can't imagine how you're feeling, adjusting to her absence after having her in your life for so many years!  That's more than some human kids are in their parents' homes!  Our boy was nearly 10 when he died, and the years with him flew by much too quickly.   Take care, and run free pretty Shedra!  0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
