Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Our family cat Snickerdoodle (Snickers) was put to sleep today, he had a tumor in his elbow the vet said he was 99% sure it was malignant, and the only other option was to amputate the whole leg, and his being 13 and not in that great of health, ( hyperthyroid and a kidney condition) we finally made the decision to put him to sleep today. He went very peacefully and me and my mom were with him.

    RIP Snickers, you were such a good and gentle cat, I'll never forget when we found you stray you came up to us and ate teddy Grams out of our hands. I love you Doodles. Now you can Run free.

    So sorry for your loss - he was a very handsome cat.

    My Muffy (Lhasa) will greet your kitty at the Bridge...but Muffy did not like kitties but maybe at the bridge they will all get along- or else Snickerdoodle will give Muffy a run for her money!  My thoughts are with you at this hard time...

    I'm so sorry to hear about Snickers... making that decision would be a heartache in itself.
