New Year's wishes for those who had a sad 2006

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

I'm a bit late to this thread but was thinking the same thing New Years Eve.  Wondering how many of us were almost relieved that the holiday season was coming to a close?  It just wasn't the same this year.

Tracy, I'm in the same boat as you... still have FeFe's anniversary to face and my first birthday without her.  Last year was so touch and go that I'd pray for her to make it to certain points with us like DH's birthday, Thanksgiving, our anniversary, Christmas, New Years and my birthday.  I thought if I made small goals, it wouldn't feel as overwhelming.  I feel blessed to say she was here to help me celebrate my 30th - and that's all I wanted, for her to still be with us.

Our rough time began in August 2005 when we found out Fe was much more sick than we first anticipated... we lost her in March so that anguish went all the way thru 2006.  Here's to hoping that 2007 brings everyone peace & happiness and that our little angels will always feel our love for them.  May you all be blessed in this new year.

I still have to face January 15, Hollys 10th birthday.  She was a Capricorn, just like her Daddy.  Daddy was born on January 10 and Onyx our cat departed on his birthday.  January is very special to us.

I know Tonka left us January 17,,,hard to believe. Tonka, I know you and Holly are having fun now.
