Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    This is in memmory of Frisky and Kristina. Frisky was a mutt,and Kristina was a bordor collie. Frisky's death was horrible, I took him over to my friends house to play and the neighbors dog came over,picked him up and shook him by his neck. I had to watch the whole thing to. And Kristina was killed of distimper. I didn't have to wach it though.Thank heavens. Any way after Friskys death, I have been afraid to alow my dogs to come in tact with other dogs.[:(][:(][:(]

    Distemper doesn't have to happen - there's a vaccine for it.
    And, you don't have to be afraid to socialize your dogs if you start off right by going to classes where an instructor can help you pick doggie friends from among your dog's classmates.  Some training centers even have play groups where the dogs have all been evaluated for friendliness to other dogs.
    Sorry you lost your dogs in such horrible ways.
