Sugar & Marlin have gone to Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

When you do rescue -- whe you love the older ones ... Sandie ***hugs)))) I echo what everyone said "What a sad sad thing" ...

But there is no pain at the Bridge, there is no spinning ... there is freedom and love and sunshine and all good things.

and here?  there are hugs for you Sandie -- the house must be SO empty tonight -- but everyone knew it was not a good kind of activity -- it will take you a while to make new habits.  **hugs**

I'm so sorry for your huge loss.

Thank you.  Sad sad day today, keep having crying jags.  To be expected.

I looked at some older photos, oh my, they had become old doggies, and yes they were ready to go.

So much "left behind" - Marlin had 7 meds, need to wash his sweater,  I have pet beds on the floor every where as old dogs need soft places and keep changing positions. . . . two empty bowls, washed and now what to do with them, extra harnesses and leashes . . . and it is so quiet!  Sugar's raspy breathing has been a back drop here for weeks; and Marlin's nails clicking as he paced and spun, his whining and fussing when he got stuck in a corner.

Tasha had to remind me at 2 seconds past noon that it was time for DINNER!  Ha haa, Marlin was always the one to announce meal times, looks like I know who will take over that job.

((( Sandie ))) I'm so sorry for your loss. How sad to say goodbye to both of them the same day. I'll be praying for you.

I am so sorry, to lose two sweet ones at once, horrible.  They were fortunate to be loved so much in life though.

Thank you,  It gets easier day by day.

When I lost Sassy, I thought my heart would never stop hurting and I'd never stop crying. Someone said the worst of it lasts about a month and I found that to be very true. I still cry when I think about her or talk about her but it's definitely gotten better day by day. (((Hugs)))

     Thank you, Cathy and Tena.

With 3 dogs and 10 cats here, I find I have to get up and get moving, things still need doing, walkies must happen, food needs to be served.  I think it helps.

Received some condolence cards in the mail today ( 2 from my vet office, 3 from close friends) and that got me choked up.  But the worst is behind me, I think.  I can't think of them without getting teary and all.  But I do get breaks where I can move forward some, which helps.
