Treva was not my dog, but she was a great dog. She showed my Zoe bug that new dogs are fun and friendly. She also climbed up onto my lap christmas day just to get closer for kisses & scritches. She was sooo sweet. I'm upset that her passing could've been prevented, and door left open, and cars passing. It makes me so upset...

I am so sorry. I'd so enjoyed your photos and your story of Zoe making friends with her and how thrilled you were about it. Such a tragic thing. Run free sweet girl.

I am so sad to read this. Run free sweet Treva all the furr babies were there to meet you and will show you all the great spots to play.

What a tragedy. I'm upset too that this happened but sometimes some little neglience, that seems minor, leads to the untimely death of a pet. I'm sure whoever is responsible feels terrible. Run free sweet Treva and thanks for teaching Zoe Bug how nice dogs can be. Her face in that last picture reminds me very much of my dog Magic. She was a sweet girl too who taught many dogs how to play.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. From your other thread, she sounded like such a sweet dog, and I'm glad she was part of such a positive experience for Zoe Bug.

Like Jackie said, I'm sure the person(s) involved feels awful. It only takes a split second for something unexpected to happen when a door is left ajar or a gate unlocked, etc. I'm also thinking of the poor person who hit her. What an awful thing to experience; I worry about that when I'm driving -- whether it's a pet or a wild animal -- it's likely there's little you can do to avoid a tragedy if an animal darts out in front of your vehicle.
