Tiny Pit Bull girl.

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Tiny Pit Bull girl.

Today Mary (an older lady who is like my mom) was walking her dogs and her lab found this poor baby pit bull washed up in the creek. She looks about four weeks old, is white with brindle patches., The dogs knew she was a fellow dog and not to play with her like they might a rabbit. It appears that someone tried to dock her tail and that went really wrong, it's stripped and still partially attached. Maybe someone did that and got scared and did this to her, She has't been there long. Mary is at the police station reporting it while I type this. The picture was so heartbreaking I just deleted it.

Poor little baby, I'm so sorry for whatever happened to you. Please know that even if we didn't meet you, we love you and we are outraged. We won't forget you, and your memory will serve to help us all speak out for others like you before it is too late. There's a lot of nice friends for you at the bridge now, and nobody to hurt or abandon you.

OH I am so sorry.  But I'm glad it was someone who found her that cared enough to report it and mourn her.  At least they can't be mean to her any more.  People make me so angry sometimes I can't breathe.

Ms. Socks would have met her at the Bridge, you know.  She loved puppies (had way way too many of them in her day) and would have taken her right under her chin to learn all she wanted to up there.  Now I'll have to sit and cry this afternoon -- I so wished Mary had found her in time.  Altho I bet you're right -- they screwed up and drowned her to hide the 'evidence'.  *sigh*

Callie, we're both crying too. It's just such a horrible thing to happen. I really want to think that someone didn't screw up her at home tail dock and dump her, but the evidence points to such and that isn't unheard of as you know. It is such an ironic and terrible thing that if she would have been found in time, Mary would have taken her and loved her forever. It's like she was so close to a home deserving of her but it just didn't happen that way. Not fair, not fair, not fair. I am so angry.

Little baby, you have Ms. Socks to watch over you now., Snuggle her tightly.

ETA: The police said they can't do anything but they'll *try* to have someone collect it. Mary is walking the area trying to be sure there's no others.
