Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    One of my colleagues just lost her wonderful Cocker Spaniel, Snickers.  When I used to help my friend at her grooming shop, I often found him on my table, and he was my very best favorite to groom.  You couldn't find a sweeter boy.  I'll always have a soft spot for him for brightening up my Saturdays for a while... RIP little wigglebum.

    Awwww.  Cockers hold a special place in my heart.  I'm betting that Rusty was there to meet Snickdog at the Bridge.

    Rusty, Billy, Muffin the Intrepid and John Lamb's Sadie.

    (and then there is Outdoorschik's dog Snickers -- not a cocker but a well-named dog! *smile*)
