Each day is irreplacable

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Each day is irreplacable

Allow me to be maudlin, sentimental, humor me and allow me the gift of giving unto others in their time of need. And no one needs to respond to this. But this is for all of us who have lost a loved one, be that human or otherwise. In fact, doesn't it seem that our pets act with more dignity than some humans? I did this in one take, minimal compression to even the volumes of soft and loud.

Anyway, this is for you guys. From my heart to yours.

Thank you, Ron.  From Mike and all my peeps and animals at the Bridge, too........I know they heard the song.

Thank you ladies and gents, for letting me share my feelings. For this song is what I see in dogs. They live pedal to the metal, full bore, full tilt boogie, until it is their time. As should we. No, you don't have to ride a bull, unless that is on your bucket list. But whatever it is that you keep putting off when you "have more time," do it now. You don't have any more time than the time you have right now. I've buried friends and family. So, I know all too well that no one knows how long they have. So, live each day as your last. Enjoy your pets as they are now.

The upside is that there is a Rainbow Bridge and when it is your time, you will see them again. I know this as a certainty as strong as knowing that the sun will rise. It's not even a matter of faith (belief in things unseen.) It's more like fait accompli.
