We're back!

Wow, hate it too, but will get use to it.  I just don't understand why we were not notified that things would change?  How come no one told us how to find the new forum name.  I had to ask someone on another forum if idog defunked?

I agree 100%!!  I can't believe the change wasn't planned out in advance, so even just a heads up that it might be coming would've been nice.

 I thought that also, but I did find this in the Tech Forum...most of us probably missed it.

Don't know if this will work---Go to profile and site and etc.   Go to Font size and change it to whatever you want.I think this will do it.

That was fast! Great job on the design! Looks great! Is there a way to change the text? It's very small and a bit hard to read.

I REALLY hate this new format, layout, buttons, everything. I hate change in general. Grrr. I couldn't remember my old password, so just made a new account as its easier.

 
Biggest complaint with this forum is that I can't see who posted the original topic in any given forum section (unless I'm blind) sometimes when I'm in a hurry I browse through looking for a topic that I can't remember the title of but knew it was by a particular poster...now I guess I can't do that? Is that going to change? That's really my biggest complaint, and the only thing that would make me never want to come back...

This new format is terrible! While I am sure that dog.com has invested quite a bit of time and money in this new site, it is not nearly as smooth moving as the old forum.

* It is very difficult to navigate. You have to go back to the top of the page move to another forum, which makes it slower to move about the forum.

* There doesn’t seem to be any order in this forum. Posts seem to be lost in a “sea” of colors & words.

* Pop up notifications for pm’s are gone. I hate to seem rude, but I may or may not notice that I have a new pm. Realistically, it may be a day or two before I realize that I’ve got a new pm.

* My pm folder only contains pm’s that I have sent. All of the pm’s that I was saving for some reason or another are gone.

* This site moves very slowly. I think the appropriate term is “half the speed of smell.” It takes forever for the site to load.

* So far, I can not find out how to change my settings to invisible. There are days when I just want to read & post. I’m not interested in pm’ing back & forth. With an invisible option, this is possible, as nobody knows that you are logged on.

* The color scheme is very hard on the eyes. I’ve checked in twice since the “upgrade.” (if that’s what you want to call it) Both times, I have left this site because my head has started hurting. This morning’s headache was bad enough that I actually got nauseous.

Welcome back.  I made it back a few days ago, but with no luck from my old browser link.  It did not automatically redirect to the new sign-in page. I was thinking down for maintenance.  Then wondering if they needed rent money for the web space.  I think a lot of folks might have trouble getting back.  I emailed and mentioned they should get the old link to auto-redirect.  Glad to see you made it back.

It's a crapshoot.......I was able to sign in from the beginning, but now I have to hit the jackpot.....lol.....

I really really really don't like that threads can't be bumped up.  This means that an active thread can be 4 pages in, buried by new
inactive threads. 

I'm new to the forums and am still figuring things out. Can anyone tell me what the points mean and how we get them? Thanks!

What do you mean threads can't be bumped? Every time someone posts in it, it goes to the top of the forum.
