Well, you will be missed. I always enjoyed what you had to offer, and admired the fact that you weren't afraid to say what was on  your mind.

Jean, don't go forever. Take a break. Cool off. Things will settle here. Honestly, when I got the PM to remove my links, I was disappointed an annoyed, but I just rolled my eyes and went on my way. You can't let stuff like that get to you.

So do you just want to make the board wrong for your experiences the past few weeks or are you open to a conversation that allows you to express what you need to express and ask for what you need for yourself???  I haven't seen an "ask" in any one of your posts...just a lot of complaining and playing the role of the victim.  ASK for what you need/want and either people will honor it or they won't.  At least then you'll have an opportunity to choose for yourself based on what does and doesn't work for you. 
 
I honestly do not understand the "goodbye" posts.  They stir up a part of myself that I don't like very much.  You need a break, take a break, come back when you're ready or never come back at all.  You know what?  We'll figure it out one way or another.  "Goodbye" threads just occur to me as "I wanna be SEEN".  Oh and I've posted them myself before, on other boards, and that's exactly what I was going for - attention and drama (hence my comment on a part of myself that I don't like very much).

EEK, the post quoted above is a pretty good example of how NOT to give constructive criticism. []It's written in such a disdainful, irritated way that I think would put anyone on the defense.

Jeano- I'll be sorry to see you leave. I do understand because recently I reached a breaking point with this board. A few people made some good points; I thought about it and decided to stay. You and I were having different issues with this board though, so I'm not sure if/how yours could be resolved (no fault of your own!).

So anyway, if you do leave permanently, I wish you well. []

You clearly just want to look for evidence to support your decision to bail.  Again, how about asking for what you want?  Sorry if this is too "straight" of a conversation for you, but after reading a half dozen posts in the other thread that consist of a lot of complaints...I thought I'd suggest that taking another tack might work for you.  But, as I said, it seems like you just want to make everyone wrong and justify yourself in leaving. 
 
As a suggestion/example (it may or may not be what's there for YOU) - it might have been something to actually voice your feelings about a decision being made on the board without mentioning it in an open forum, and airing whatever feelings you had about being "picked on" and then opening the floor for suggestions or alternative resolutions.  I hear you're clearly hurt and feel targeted...but do you want to stay in THAT space, or try to get what you need for yourself?
 
I'll be sorry to see you go - I personally enjoyed your posts. 

I hope you don't permanently go.  Your dogs are beautiful and your posts are always relevent. 

I personally just feel that a couple of rude comments shouldn't drive you away from something, as a whole,  you enjoy.  There is so much knowledge here and so many really interesting, possitive people here.

You have lovely dogs - I always enjoy your posts just to see their pictures each time. I hope you will come back after some time off. I've learned over the years that when I get irritated it's best to just give it time. Board cultures change quickly - the star of the moment (or troll of the moment) is just that, a momentary ripple.

I haven't had time or access to peruse the board very thoroughly lately so I've missed whatever specifics you are referring to (or maybe I was just clueless). I hope you can overcome your hurt - it's a shame when what is supposed to be a pleasant pastime can get to us in this way - but I do know how it goes.
