    Thoughts needed!

We are home.... the Jones crew had a lovely time at the park hunting random things.  There must have been a very active critter population tonight, at times ALL 3 dogs would go in different directions intent on finding whatever it was they were looking for.  All critters made it out safely, though... it was very nearly the end for a chipmunk! It was PISSED about it, too! (you know how they chitter and grumble when angry) LOL

OK, so I got a reply from TTTT.

"I will follow your board rules.  But it ok for Xeph to bad mouth Sara's handler.  But when I bring to light that many of her posts aren't true, I get a warning?????

I just wanted people to b made aware things were not what Xeph represented.  I could have gone into greater detail, but I didn't.

All that matters now is that Sara is safe at home where she belongs."

OK, my take on this is Xeph was speaking about an unknown, unnamed person and someone who was not present on the board, so thereby it was allowed. TTTT stated something in a non-confrontational way, which is why her message is still up with just a warning on the board.  However, she brings up a good point.

What do you guys think we should do?  Allow TTTT to state their side of things as long as she doesn't get into name calling, I'm thinking this is only fair (I will ask her who she is. If she is the co-owner or handler).  .... I would prefer everyone drop it.  But Xeph got her kicks and punches in for days and days about this.  And obviously her in-laws would probably have something to say about this, if they found this thread.

Do we stop people from venting about anonymous people because they could find out? I don't think that's terribly feasible nor is it very welcoming.

We are in this situation now... what's your take on how we should handle it?

    Votes?

     Oh FFS!

I just looked up Kaleef GSD's. .... dude.  DUDE.  This could be bad.  BAD, BAD.  They are not only one of the top GSD breeders (I don't even KNOW GSD's but it turns out I know of their dogs) .... the dude is Jimmy Moses.  JIMMY MOSES!!!  (A huuuuuuuuuuugely known GSD handler).

I'm guessing they could be very pissed about Xeph and what she's said, especially considering her signature shows that Delphi came from Kaleef's.  This is why I've said for a long time NO NAMING BREEDERS.

    (((((sighs)))))

    THOUGHTS???

Reply from TTTT (I asked if she was the co-owner, handler.... or who she was exactly.)

    "

I am a Mod on a different board, so I didn't mean to break you rules.  I just wanted people on your board to know that every thing that Xeph represented wasn't all true,

I am a friend of the other person - co-owner of Sara.  So unless you insist I would like to keep my name out of this.  We had to do it this way because Xeph would not talk to Co-owner.  Said she couldn't contact her because she didn't have internet, yet she could post on our board when she claims she didn't have internet access.  She put Sara in a Rescue foster home where she could only stay for a few days, Xeph had no plan in place to keep Sara safe.  She said she was working on it, well the co-owner and I in less than 2 days had a trusted person who could take Sara and get her transported to the co-owner.  So if Xeph wouldn't have been running and hiding Sara would have never been put in a Temp. Forster home for a Rescue who recently had 4 dogs go missing from one of their foster homes.  So that situation in itself was very troubling.  Xeph, never asked me how transporting Delphi as she called her would be handled.  She just jumped at the fact that I would take care of it free of charge to her.

This was a Co-ownership agreement and Xeph should have contacted the Co-owner first.  The co-owner actually asked for her dog back when Xeph had problems with where she was staying in Texas, Xeph said NO.

I am sorry to bring this to your board.  But Xeph is far from the saint she is portraying herself to be.

LOL just for fun TTTT was short for ToTellTheTruth."

Well, I think we all knew Xeph is not a saint, though I find it fascinating that so many people on our board seem to think so.  Do they really think people go around being that awful to their sons GF?... no personal responsibility at all in this.  Anyway.

What do you think we should do? I feel better it's not the co owner (aka the Moses'... groans just thinking about that.)  But, I'm sure they are aware of this thread.

I'm worried about liability at this point.

ok, I'm here.  (I've been poking on the board all night and didn't see this until I got your text, wth?)

First question - I need to go poke thru the thread, because I don't recall her bringing up the handler AT ALL... where was that?  Next, I need to re-read the way she posts about the co-owners.  I have the very distinct impression that *others* here on this board know exactly who the players are in Xeph's world with Delphi.  That creates a problem, imo.

This is a tough one - my instinct is to remove the thread and let the players play it out elsewhere.  I don't feel that there is a liability issue but I may be naive.  As we have discussed this is a public forum and as such members can post thier version of the truth which for many seems to be outside the facts/reality.  We can't have the responsibility/liability for the content of 40k posters.

We don't however want to allow slinging matches.

My gut says we put something up like due to attaining additional information with regard to the care and transport of Delphi it is in the best interest of dog.com to remove this thread......

Something specific like that is going to make too many people start digging.  I think there's a way of saying "we are observers and not players in this story, so we have to know there are multiple sides and we wish the best for the dog, first, and the owners and those who care for the dog, second." something reaaall generic, but a good "shut up no, kids", and close the thread, I guess.  Which thread are we going to really discuss this?  this one, or the "let's close it" one?
