    Karen! The labour vibes worked!

I don't have many details yet...but 5 boys, 6 girls.  Vienna, as you can see from the picture, looks SHATTERED bless her, but I think anyone would after giving birth to 11 kids LOL.

Welcome to the world, you long-anticipated puppies.

Got a longer email from Jacqui, here's the scoop:

About 2:30 am yesterday (Tuesday) Vienna had the first pup, a boy with a huge head.  He got stuck and while they managed to get him free and he survived, that really took it out of Vienna.  The next 7 pups arrived over the following 7-8 hours, then mum decided she'd had enough and Jacqui called the vet.  While the vet was on the way puppy number 9 arrived, then the vet said she thought she could feel another pup so gave Vienna oxytocin and calcium injections, over the next 2 hours the last 2 puppies came.  So both Vienna and Jacqui are very tired, but V is being a really great mum to them and they're all feeding well.

congrats to you the breeder and of course...the bitch...she did a lot of work!

Talk about a telling apart nightmare LOL. Bust out the yarn collars or nail polish!

Vienna really DID work hard, when I go to visit the pups I'm taking her a steak LOL.

Ah yes, the job of telling them apart...don't envy Jacqui that one...she uses nail polish if I recall correctly.  I hope she has 11 different colours in the house haha.

You can use the same color...you just put it in different spots on each pup. Front right paw, back left hock, forehead, right ear, base of the tail, etc. Long as you are consistent it works very well, and once they're up and around really you get to telling them apart a lot easier...personality and whatnot helps.

I think at this point Jacqui might be too tired to keep them all straight if she did that LOL...she hasn't slept in 2 days, poor woman.  I'm sure personalities DO help a lot when they get a bit older.  Not as easy to differentiate as Beagles though ;)
