I guess his speach really put rose colored glasses on me, cause I really thought that people would be able to pick up and move on and accept this and be hopeful we could have a positive change in this country.  GUESS NOT!

I swear to God, I have no patience of Sandra_Slayton.... I just want to... scream, and throttle and throw things... WHAT IS UP WITH THE CONSTANT CAPS??  And $400 a month in medical pluse $200 in prescriptions?  GOOD GRIEF!!  How could Obama's plan POSSIBLY be worse than what you are currently paying?

I borrowed them.  I don't mind saying that even I was moved by Obama's speech and he's not my president.  I am very glad he's all of yours, though.  

 I posted, trying very hard to remain neutral.  I'm absolutely not neutral in spirit LOL, I'd probably have moved to the moon if McCain had won because Palin scares me so, but I know there are a lot of people out there right now who are disappointed.

I will admit here that I had really become saddened and jaded by the American public & media and all the crap that was being slung about Barack and a lot of other ugliness I see day in and day out.  I realized last week that his color had not even been considered by me I just saw new energy, calm and a humanity we haven't seen in politics in my memory.

And now all the nuts that had issues with his color and his middle name and what ever vapid beliefs they have will have to just deal with it.  Their repulsive attempts to vilify him failed.

Whatever he accomplishes or doesn't in office - this is a remarkable step forward for the American people.  I am very proud that his color didn't get in the way.

OK I am going to be late for an appointment so must go!

Sandra uses caps because she is vision impaired due to her problems. She has MANY medical issues. She is very sensitive about the caps. I use boldface when addressing her in thread or PM...

IMO we need to clamp down and keep the snark low/non exsistant. The less they are able to snipe the sooner this will be over. IMO.

Agreed, I did post a reminder to be respectful in one of the threads, but there are several so the more eyes on all the better.  

I haven't looked...is it still civil and on topic? I did ask in-thread...that Kennedy, Clinton talk be discarded in favor of on topic Obama victory chat.
