    GINA! JAIME!

HELP!  -- and anyone with an opinion!

I'm finishing up an ad for my National clubs mag.

This is the ad, for my breeder, I'm sharing a page with them, clearly. I just designed it and am sending it in...and i just thought of asking you guys for your opinion, cause i'm in an absolute panic trying to get ready to leave tomorrow.

Do you like the ad the way it is?? Or with the BOB shot (for Logan) instead?  I want a shot that shows him off to the best, I don't care about the BOB.  Also how do the brags sound, should I change that?  My breeder is no help as this is their first ad, they've been flying under the radar but they want a place on the map, which they deserve. HELP! HELP!

first had to catch my breath as those pics of Logan are stunning!

I have no experience or knowledge of showing but I think the BOB pic would be better as i think people like to see that, although i think I like the pic you have in better

OK that is my opinion and completely unhelpful I know.  The ad looks wonderful!

Thanks so much Karen! :o)  I certainly think he's looking good.... but, I'm the first to admit how extremely biased I am! hehehe

See, I totally agree, the BOB picture is the more appropriate to advertise, but I think it's so busy, it takes your eye away from Logan and I love that free stacked shot of him.  HOWEVER I also know that it doesn't matter what I like... the people who read these mags pick either love your dog or pick them apart and I want to give them less ammunition! lol  I also have to get the ad in tonight.... so, I'm stressing pretty hard about it.

Great to have you back and thanks again... getting ready to go to a Specialty it's great to have some confidence boosting! :o)

Thanks so much Karen! :o)  I certainly think he's looking good....

Honestly Lani I don't know anything about showing - I have a friend that shows her lab (he seems overweight to me but she says that is the preference- bleck) and I love to watch the shows but I know zero of the technicalities.  Logan really is an amazing looking dog, I cannot imagine what faults he has but I'm sure someone would say he had some.

Best of luck at the specialty (whatever that is Embarrassed) I'm looking forward to more pictures soon!

I am so late...you're probably gone...BUT I like the pic you have in there actually...lots of text but it's saying stuff that needs to be said LOL. I think the people you're making it for should be pleased!

KICK BUTT LOGAN!! have fun Lani!

Thanks Karen! :D You'll be all settled in in no time... it's amazing how fast "life" comes back to you!  And a Specialty is a show where it's JUST one dog breed.  So it's going to be only Weims competing.  The showgrounds will have like i think 15 Specialties running concurrently, but weims will only be competing against weims, dobes only against dobes, etc.  Sat/Sun will be all breed, so all the breeds will eventually compete against each other, like you'd see on Westminster.

Gina, I'm so glad to hear from you! I was checking in one more time and was going to change it to the BOB picture and send it.  lol  Yeah it's super wordy... so i tried to make it easy to skim, colored it so they could skim and yet get the info they needed.  Grady is a legend, Grayce is not known so it's a matter of getting people's attention, to what she can produce.  It's a highly line-bred litter... they should produce several pups of excellent quality we are hoping.  Part of the reason I was leaning toward the BOB even though I prefer the free stacked shot is cause he really resembles Grady and it's more noticeable in the BOB.  But, I think he looks more mature in the free stack.

Thanks so much, I hired Carmen Ruby (a well known handler in the PNW) for Sweeps and the Specialty.  I'm getting super anxious!  lol  I'm glad I'm not handling him, although I think I'm more nervous when i'm NOT the one doing the handling.  I might be a bit of a control freak... shocking, I know :)

Really thanks for the help guys -- I think i'm gonna leave it as is and send it in.

OH and Gina if you're still around what do you think of the brags next to logan's picture, are those worth bragging about?

    Ab-so-lutely!

Does he handle well for others? Hopefully he'll settle and like her. Best of luck to you!

    THANK YOU!

... somehow it's easier to brag for someone else! hahaha I feel like a complete dork, but this is my first ad for dogs. Heck, i've only been reading show mags for 3 or 4 months, lots to learn.

Thank you for putting up with me. I really appreciate it! Big SmileBig SmileBig Smile

The ad looks great but I'd remove the candid shot and only use the BOB win

Also when writing Logan's name it now needs to say UKC CH/AKC Major Pointed Waltz To The Top v Anson
