    Vacation notice, that is. I saw y'alls eye light up when you thought this was a resignation...*snert*

    Starting next Tuesday night....on thru what..July 4th or so....I will be in limited to no..contact. We'll be road tripping out to Cleveland with the kiddos. Target date for return is around July 4th...but not sure.

    Wanted to give plenty of notice...I will be a bit scattered thru this weekend doing laundry and prepacking and buying the stuff we'll need for the road. Excited as can be...it's not a terribly interesting route but I have only very limited travel thru the U.S. experience so...I'm excited. The kiddos will get to meet TONS of relations on their dad's side...including some from the Vaterland so they're EX SITE ED.

    Eyes light up?!  More like my heart stopped!

    Have a wonderful road trip and a great time when you get there.  We will put up with you popping in here to ask what you've forgotten to pack.  Wink

    Yes, you see...I have made LISTS to ensure that I forget vital items, which I will only notice I've forgotten on some godforsaken highway AFTER we pass the "last gas/food for 80mi's" sign...that's the way professional traveler's do things I hear. *cackle*

     Precisely why I travel with the "have toothbrush, change of underwear and granola bar, everything else is a luxury" mentality.  :D

    easy enough...when you don't have kiddos...LOL. MOST of the stuff being packed and listed...is for them. Wink You'll understand one day..perhaps...mwah ha ha.

    LOL not anytime soon....heehee.....especially not if I am going back to school, as is currently the plan.  Puppy first, anyway! LOL.

     Gina - that was not even REMOTELY funny!  Please excuse me while I go compose myself after that...

     

    Oh...and have a good trip. :)  Take lots of pictures - I have pretty much been nowhere off the East Coast so I want to live vicariously through you.

    I couldn't imagine that they would have been going... but, hey, I thought you might be brave enough! lol

    Family is great isn't it?  That's part of the reason I still haven't continued my journey northward to Seattle. It's been nice having all my fam here! :o)

    Have a great time... and I'm sure you'll have enough hair on your clothes and in your car to assemble a dog if you need one.  If you're anything like I am, that is.

    I have officially gone to DEFCON-4 ladies.

    I just printed out a FOUR PAGE instruction packet for my Mom and sis re: the dogs. The kennels in the garage have names and descriptions on them so there's no mixups. There is a list of important numbers on the fridge for them.

    I am packed...kids are packed...and DH under penalty of well, that's better left unsaid...is packed.

    I warped to the bookstore and back in record time with the road reading material...

    I printed out all hotel info and numbers and made sure the DH programmed the Navi system. I re-confirmed our reservation for Wed night in Tn.

    I have stared at the RoadAtlas so much I think I could walk the route with my peepers shut.

    The kids are in bed after me explaining for the umpteenth time that no...we don't leave tomorrow but the morning after.

    I am in the limbo of time where you have everything you CAN prepare ahead...done...and doing anything else is impractical (like packing toiletries you need the morning before you leave).

    WHAT THE HE** AM I GONNA DO TOMORROW???

    HAVE FUN!!!! Enjoy your vacay and bring me back a shirt... that you can wear.

    SEE YA IN A WEEK!  ... don't worry about us, we'll just close down idog while yer gone Surprise LOL
