What is the easiest way to navigate?

Help!  How do you all find the easiiest way to navigate these boards is, and remember where you posted, and when, and to whom, if you can only get on every 2-3 days?  I have a bit of trouble keeping up, and then finding posts that I replied to, and quickly seeing if anyone replied back.  Any suggestions?

On the right-hand side of the main forum page, look for "my discussions"...it will list the last...10? I think that you started or replied to, but if you click on the words "my discussions" it will take you to a list of all of the discussions you have either started or participated in.  If you aren't listed as the last poster, underneath the thread title, then someone has replied to you.

    Hope that's of some help.

The forum used to send you emails of all replies to your discussions which was easier for me (I'd just sort by subject, delete the duplicates and head for the one I wanted to).

But that's no longer an option ... so I come in and click "Forums" at the top.  Then on the right under "Shortcuts" I choose "Posts You have Not Read Yet" -- and when that comes up I delimit it where it says "Newer than 2 months" I click on the arrow button at the right and choose however many days it's been since I was last here.

If you go into any of the new threads you have to right click on them and say "open in a new window" or you lose your place in that list of posts.  But that's how *I* cope.

A couple more tips: On the main Forums page, on the right side click on "personalize". This will give you the option of hiding the forums you're not particularly interested in so there's not so many to look through.

To mark a forum as read, go to the bottom of that forum, click on "More Options" then click on "Mark as Read". When you return to the upper level, it will show a green icon instead of a red one.

Thank you all.  I will try these tips.  I have been trying to use the view new posts feature, but I think by right, clicking and opeining a new window, that might help.  I won't lose my place then!  Cool!
