    Bye guys! Leaving the forum!(Ratsicles)

Yep, I'm leaving. This is the most ridiculous forum I have ever, ever been a member of. The moderation is ridiculous, and I'm not going to post somewhere where I get edited (also, editing people's posts is stupid and no other forum does that) for defending myself when I'm sick of the same people attacking me over and over.

For the people who have been awesome to me, and the friends I've made- you know who you are- feel free to E-mail, PM, or instant message me anytime. The info is in my profile.

    **content removed, rude/insulting**

Sorry you feel that way. Truth of the matter is, when you don't allow the moderators to take care of other members behavior and you have a melt down like you have recently done you are held accountable for YOUR behavior.

Thanks for playing, enjoy those other forums...account suspended. Creating another account is immediate suspension. If interested in returning to this forum you must contact an member of the Admin team

Wow, strong measures being applied but I am not criticizing the action.  Sorry to see Ratsickle go.

Amstaffy, can you share publicly or privately what a meltdown is like?  This is the first time I have seen this action, so it is beyond the outer edge.

I think the majority here has been red inked....realize your mistake and move on, even if the post was a post in self defense......if it's nasty it gets the ink......no need to get all dramatic......

No, not strong measures. The red ink says it all. More then three instances of rude/attacking/inappropriate content that had to be edited.

Does anyone know how many different versions of Microsoft Office there have been?

I think that it's an infinite number, Billy.  Much like versions of goodbye threads........

Ok folks, no need to stir the pot here.

Does this mean we'll see less of the red-ink, which pretty much amounts to annoying nagging and can ruin some otherwise good threads. I'm sorry to see Rats go, but I won't be sad to see less red-ink, even if it means booting a few people.

Ummmm.  Wow.  I just read what I'm guessing to be the "last straw" for both sides and I found the EDITED version unpleasant and upsetting.

No one knows what might have been said privately and unless the policy of the forum has changed greatly, no one ever will.  I personally got some pretty hair curling pm's when I edited posts that were any number of violations of the rules and quite honestly, no one should ever have to deal with that kind of abuse.  We do NOT know the whole story behind this action.

We are a pretty passionate bunch of folks, and sometimes passions run high and we all get a little too animated.  And sometimes mods need to step in to keep things from getting unredeemably nasty.  We are all adults and can't expect that everything that flows through our fingers, especially when we are in a passionate state, is going to be AOK.  Yes, it should be, because we all should self moderate and step away from the computer when we are feeling a bit too passionate.  And if we don't, then we need to act like grown ups and take our lumps and red ink without getting nasty.  I don't know if that happened here or not, but, in my experience it DOES happen.

There's an awful lot of fussing about edits and red ink, but the bottom line is that we all know what the rules are and if we don't like them we shouldn't be posting here.  Having many times been frustrated by forum members who stepped over the line repeatedly, I know all too well that Jaime is ALWAYS fair to a fault.  And no amount of chest beating or begging is going to get her to take action until and unless SHE feels it is truly justified.  She's got a pretty strict set of personal rules and takes an awful lot of crap before she takes action and ANYONE who has been with this forum for any length of time should know that.

I'm not taking any sides here......BUT.....more happened than any of us know for this action to have been taken.  And I base that opinion on my experience on both sides of the fence.

Not true. The other boards I'm on will all edit posts that violate the rules. But usually you only get to cross that line a couple of times before you get the boot. Ignoring moderator warnings to play nice is definitely not cool. Yeah, it's crappy when people attack you, but the best course of action is to report it and let the mods handle it rather than respond in kind and risk being banned yourself. We can't control what other people post, be we can sure control what WE post.

I must agree!  That's what the little menu button (or whatever you want to call it) is for.  If you feel inappropriate behavior, report, don't react, it just makes matters worse.  Luckily (knock on wood) I've never had anyone "attack" me or even really be rude.   They may have tried to be, but I didn't read it that way. LOL  That's just the kind of person I am, I guess!  lol  But I've found from just reading posts, and not necessarily commenting, noticed different opinions, and the mannerisms in which they state things, and just shrug and read on.  I haven't been here that long either, so, I have a lot of unexperience.  But I like this forum, I find people to be very informative on so many different levels and different topics, I feel like I'm going to Dog School!

I'm sorry to see you go Ratsicles.  I have no idea what lead to this.  I wish you all the best.

Thank you Agile.  You just brought the thread back ON topic and reminded the rest of us to be nice.

Ratsicles, I'm sorry you feel the need to go and I wish you all the best and happiness in your life.
