Just what is baiting?

Thank you all.  For the record, I believe I have never gotten red inked for baiting.  In my opening statement I said I was accused of baiting but that was not by a Moderator.  Glad we can have this type of discussion on this forum and get a better understanding.  Hopefully Amstaffy and her team has an out for those members identified with proven behavior patterns.  I too do not like to see ideas or opinions surpressed.  I see value in all members here.

It's a never ending story...everyone has an opinion and not everyone is in agreeement of it...lines get drawn and then those who are here to keep the peace have to settle things...unfortunatley not everyone sees that they have crosse the lines and take even more time to create havoc...it's so much easier to get along but then again, what fun would that be?

Are you serious? If someone says they have a passion for something, that doesn't insinuate that no one else does! That's ridiculous! So what if DPU thinks somebody doesn't meet the needs of their dog? It's his (and only his) opinion. Is it really such a sensitive subject that you cannot bear anyone insinuating that you might not meet 100% of your dog's needs? 

I can't believe you're being so sensitive about this when I've seen some stuff you've written. LOL

I do admit I do have fun here and I know the members and their dogs.  Some of these "baiting" and "off-topic" are just for laughs.  I don't think there are a lot of members that don't get along in the true sense.  That would mean aggravation and people walk away from that.  Anyway, I am the OP so I get the last word.

OK, if anyone comments after me then they have to adopt Marvin.  Yes I am still fostering Marvin, 1 year and 3 months later.

 I see certain people intentionally posting response for the purpose of getting a rise out of others. I have not noticed any of their posts being deleted. it is normally (in my opinion) only after certain others jump for the bait and then their posts are deleted or red inked.

 I wish that the moderators would just red ink cursing and direct personal insults only. Anything other always falls to the interpetation of the moderator and at times will always be considered unfair and at times will be unfair.

 I have been accused of baiting and although what I posted was a bait it was in response to one thrown at me. I did not see anyone leaping to my defense on that occasion.

Carla, it was a rhetorical question.  Duh. 

I don't care a whit what other people think of how I care for my dogs.  What's important is how my dogs feel about that.  

Now, where is that beating a dead horse smiley???
