completely agreed. His sig is intended to offend and bait people...and if he's been told to change it before and this is what he picks...nice flip off to Admin for sure.

Yeah, and he'll claim that it's a joke or whatever.  It's not funny.  Kate, this crap needs to be stopped and stopped now.  It's just getting worse and creating more divisions.

I know...and I want it out in the open.  I'm composing something which will be added to the guidelines, but I will also post it separately so people see it.  It should be up in the next 20 minutes/half an hour.

I suspect that this is ALL in reaction to spiritdogs sig.  Funny, for years she had something about "force, no matter how concealed, creates resistence" and there was VERY little said about that.  I think I recall one thread about it, or comments in one thread, in the whole time she's been here......until recently, when sigs seem to have become a way to piss one another off.

A note regarding signatures:

Signature spaces are a great place for pictures, the name(s) of your pet(s), a quote you like - things that can give other members an idea of who you are, and what you're about. 

Signatures are NOT an appropriate place to disparage the methods or philosophies of another member or members, nor are they the place for offensive material including, but not limited to, racism and profanity. 

A signature is part of every post made, and there will no longer be a distinction between signatures and posts.  If a signature contains material that should not be there, there will no longer be a request from a member of staff to remove it.  It will be removed and the member in question contacted afterwards.  

If there are any questions or if clarification is needed, please contact me privately.   Public discussion of this is not needed, as it is non-negotiable.  I am frankly saddened that this even needs to be addressed.

 I know...but since I had to speak about this with 4 or 5 people this weekend, and that's not even everyone?  It's not just one member.  LOL. 

And can ya tell from the note that I am just the teeeeensiest bit fed up with this?

Very good.  I agree that it should be read only, and if they start crap, then I guess we'll just have to edit, delete, whatever.....

I'm sick of the garbage.  I have no patience left and I'm beyond ticked off about it all.
