I sent Anne a PM yesterday regarding her post in the "recruiting efforts" thread.  Here's what I sent:

Anne,

Your post in the "recruiting efforts" thread has been removed.  I understand why you don't agree with the motivations of that forum or its members, but we would prefer to keep such issues off the forums here.  Mods and Admins here do not have the time or inclination to police what happens anywhere else, indeed that is not part of our "job description" when we are asked to become staff, albeit unpaid staff, here.  

I think there should come a time when we just need to realise that certain minds are not going to be changed, and that people are going to act the way they are going to act.  The best we can do here is keep THIS forum as pleasant to be a member of as possible.

I would appreciate it if you could refrain from posting further about other forums, if those posts are not complimentary, as the potential to create a "war" that would be detrimental to this forum is huge.

I pretty much expected that.  Don't worry - those *&%* won't get any more free advertising from me.  Now they will only get it from idog.

I am fairly sure that if the link in question was to another forum Anne was a member of, and not one started by someone she hates, she'd be fine with it. 

I know she's a long standing member here, and I respect her knowledge.  You guys have known her longer than I have, so I would love your opinions on this.
