Just checked on it and it's OK so far.  I need to go out for a bit but will check back later...thankfully most people are still asleep LOL. 

I already spoke to Carla about her last post. She PM'd me and is frustrated so she needed to vent. I did edit her post a bit which I also let her know. It may be soon time to close the thread as it's natural life seems to be petering out. If anyone saw the post I deleted from Lostcoyote where they quote song lyrics for no apparent reason...yeah....their minds are wandering.

Carla's now feeling like she was the only one edited on that thread...I include her PM below...

Gina, it did occur to me after I posted the warning that you might have been speaking to people privately, so sorry if I stepped on your toes there.

What confuses me is that somewhere around page 8 we agreed that Cesar was perfectly capable of defending himself and doesn't need others to do it for him...and Carla was then one of the main supporters of that.  Seems she's changed her mind.  

I'm sorry she's upset, but she has gotten nasty a couple of times.   

I went thru the thread a bit...not every post...and looked...I saw nothing like the comment I removed where she was basically baiting Anne to shoot CM...I did look.

Glenda, what did you edit do you recall?....I didn't see any red ink elsewhere...

Yes that is what I took out....her comments that inferred that Anne is a racist.  I did not make a big deal of it and when she pm'd me I told her that I would be happy to remove the red ink since that seemed to be her hang up.  She said she was OK with it.

I agree with closing the thread.  I know that Jaime doesn't LIKE for us to close threads, but this one is circling the drain and has outlived it's usefulness. 

I think I'd be inclined to post a note reminding people of the discussion going on in the thread and saying that if they have a worthwhile contribution to please feel free, but if the trend towards pointless posts continues it will be locked.

Right now all is quiet...I am fine with leaving it alone for now...if it picks up again later with the back and forth...then yes one final reminder then we can close it pending Admin review of the conduct there.

I'm going out for a few hours soon....I'll be home about 8:30 my time (4 hours from now) but will have to eat right away since I'm not allowed to eat after 9 pm tonight...until lunchtime tomorrow...Gah.  So I won't be back until 9-9:30 my time probably, and I'm fine with whatever you 2 decide to do, if it gets hairy while I'm out.

I think you're mistaken. You might be confusing this thread with the Akita bloodbath thread, which I wasn't even involved in. I am the only one who has been edited in this thread and both times, it was in my response to Spiritdogs. Interesting, huh?

She wandered in on page 23 and posted about "hero worship" and how all his followers are seemingly "in a trance" and using terms like  "CM aficionados", "reverence", saying "they will not allow that he is not God incarnate". Saying "that those who follow him seem to close themselves off from further learning." And "If someone is still at the level he seems to be at, fine. But, one would hope that they would continue the search for knowledge." "My college gave me a degree in this crap, but they must be wrong, too, because CM has to be right, right?"

And that's not considered sarcastic or baiting because that kind of talk is expected from Spiritdogs. But when I say something sarcastic, because it's not expected of me, it gets taken right out. I'm expected to remain completely civil at all times.  

My response to her on p 23 was totally innocent. I mentioned that she was judging the whole by a few, much like saying that all black people are criminals because some black people are in prison. And THAT was edited. Because someone said I was calling her a racist! LOL It was an analogy. I wasn't calling her a racist. I should have said it was like saying all priests are child-molesters.

Then in my other response to her on p. 33, I got sarcastic and comedic when defending CM. What's wrong with that? If sarcasm isn't permitted here, there should be a lot more edits than there are.

Spiritdogs is baiting me and I'm answering with humor, analogies and some sarcasm and I'm getting dinged for it. But since it's expected of her, she's free to express and she knows it. She's playing you guys and me, too.

Again, I'm not upset because I see it clearly now. She's coming in and baiting me and I have fallen for it and it has paid off for her both times. But I won't fall for it again.
