Good thing to know that there is as good chance the puppy will be ok with my little ones.
I got my dog Belle, lab mix, from a shelter and she is about a year old we think. She plays very rough with small dogs, well with any dog, but the small ones of course are the problem. My JRT is perfectly capable of putting her in her place and does but she has caught him unaware a few times and pawed his face very hard. If you are worried about Zack then just be vigilant when the pup's around. We work with Belle daily to improve her social skills with other dogs but it's much easier to prevent problems than to correct them.
