What is this handsome boy?

I recently adopted this gorgeous boy from the humane society and he is 7 months old and 30 lbs. I have no idea what he is. Could anyone venture a guess?

I am trying to use a "code" from image shack for the pictures if it doesn't work i'll come up with something else

I can't put my finger on it, but something about him says pit. that and maybe....beagle? I really have no idea, but he is certainly handsome.

I'd say... hound/pit. That's all I can come up with for now... I'll keep thinking =]

I see Treeing Cur mix. I don't see any pitty pat in this one.

Well, if there's pit at all I'd say it only because of the body type, looks kinda pit to me. But the head is wrong, nose is too long. Maybe lab, collie. I can't speak as to the curs cause I truly have no idea what they look like. The head looks kinda labby.

But where you live migh help with determining the mix as some areas have more of a certain breed than others. If you live where curs are commen, then I'd guess the poster before me is correct.

Yup, I was thinking some boxer, too. How about a boxer/some type of hound mix? I don't see pit, either.

Okay. Now I see what you're talking about. It's just that there's so many breeds of dogs already and then all of a sudden you hear about another one that doesn't sound like an acutaly breed and it makes you go "yeah right, that ain't a breed."

I concur! There are soooo many breeds people don't know about just b/c they aren't AKC sanctioned or whatever. Beautiful dogs!

we could have a long discussion on cur breeds...i agree that is a type of cur...not stephens or kemmer...could be a catahoula??? not all catahoulas are spotted with blue eyes...
