    Help Me? Who Am I?

My Name Is Hershey. I'm Chocolate In Color With White Paws, White Nose, White Stripe Down My Chest, And White Stripe Down The Back Of My Head. I'm Energetic, Playful, And Loving Towards Humans. I'm One Year Old. I Can Jump From A Stand Still To Around Four Feet. I Only Eat When I'm Hungry. I Love To Play With Toys. I Was Easily House Trained, Although When I Am Over Excited I Tend To Urinate A Little. When I Do Something Wrong & My Owners Find Out I Do Go To A Corner & Coward Down In Shame. I Think I May Be A Cross Between Two Or Three Of These Breeds: Jack Russel, Corgi, Beagle, Terrier. Can You Help Me?

I see a little Pitty mixed with something!  He's a cutie!

    Border Collie and Terrier maybe.

Wow, They almost look the same besides color. Is that your dog? How much does it weigh? Do you have any more pics of that dog?

The first face looks pretty pit bull, but his body looks pretty Corgi-ish. He's quite cute!

I'm not sure if you were talking to me or not. She is my dog - her mother was a border collie -rottweiler mix.. and her father looked mostly black lab. Bobo weighs around 47 pounds and there are a few more pictures of her here.

Her tail is simular to your dog's too.

He resembles my dog quite a bit in body shape, except those ears.  We call Cairo a Bassett/Lab X, though he could be anything really.

Your dog seems to maybe have either Border Collie or Pit in him (either would give him the uppity ears and coloring).  Going by just the shape of the face I'd say BC, but there does seem to be something hinting at Pit in there.  It's hard to tell if his stub legs are from Corgi or another breed like Basset

    My Cairo:

    could be this.
what i have read of the basset is that the short leg thing is dwarfism gene that just appeared one day a long time ago.
i dont know anything about how it works if you cross breeds with a basset. and i know even less about corgies.
but i see a LOT of BC in that face. more than i see pit. so my actual guess is corgi/BC.. would also explain the ears.

I'm begining to think either Chocolate Labrador Retriever  & Corgi or Corgi & Pit Bull. What do you guys think? Can anyone find some pictures of a Corgi/Pit Bull?
    • Gold Top Dog
I would have to say corgi-pit. she's a cutie though! whatever she is! her smile looks all pitty to me!

here is a picture of  corgi/lab [linkhttp://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=8415682]http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=8415682[/link].... your dog doesn't look too much like that one, but mixes do vary!

I don't see any corgi in there, to be honest- it'd almost certainly have to be at least one generation back anyway, since liver is a REALLY rare gene in Cardis and I don't know anyone who's ever even SEEN a liver pem, although there are records of them. I'd actually guess dachshund or bassett as the dwarf mix, but dwarfism isn't unheard of in a LOT of breeds, including labs, malamutes, pyrs, and a whole bunch of others.

So definitely Corgi-PIt- My girl Daisy looks just like your dog's first picture. When I got her, the man told me she was a Pit. She has a face and ears just like your dog, except...Black and White Brindle with short little legs. She too only eats when she's hungry, very playful and cowers on her back if she knows she was bad.. What the real trip was, is that she got pregnant by my purebred chocolate lab, so I got short legged labs, with pitbull attitudes and short legs. My em ail is Star1968c@yahoo.com

I'm usually the first to recognize pit bull in a dog but I just don't see it in this guy. He has too much length of muscle and not enough jaw. Not saying there is no pit bull in him, since many mixes have severla breeds but I wouldn't guess it as a primary one for him.

The first few pictures made me think of smooth coated red BCs. I actually laughed when I saw that he was a dwarf - I was expecting a more BC body LOL My guess would be more Corgi x BC x ???

From the Bobtail Boxer thing, it would seem that first generation crosses between corgis or other dwarves will produce all dwarf puppies. You won't always see strong corgi type in corgi mixes (erect ears, corgi heads, etc). You can see a couple of the puppies on the pages below and some information about what traits are dominant/recessive in corgis - interesting stuff!
