You won't beleive this, but, except for his face, he looks like a pure bred GSD I saw on a website. Supposedly, that color is a throw back, to what I'm not sure. Unfortunately, that site showed up as "unavailable" when I tried to open it, and Google search didn't come up with any GSDs that color. There is a dog advertising canine wheel chairs that looks like that, too. That said, Diamond's face reminds me of the Husky/GSD we had when we got married. Chances are he's a Husky/GSD. One thing is for sure- he's beautiful!
He really has a lot of GSD features. The first time I saw him in the shelter, I thought he's a very strange colourded GSD, didn't even see the Siberian part in him. And then, after seeing he was listed as a Laika, I went looking into the web about Sib. Laikas and found almost exact copy of Diamond but with a way more curved tail and darker colours. Diamond's tail curve a bit, like a husky would do it but not as much as "normal" Laikas [
] And then, as I had a very, very beautiful Sib. husky before, I started to see Diamond's huskyness. His mask, the position of the tail when excited, the hunting instinct, the caracter.. I have a question though, huskies have smaller years, but don't GSDs have bigger years than those of my dog? I am not really an expert of the breed [8|]
I may find the Laika's picture, just for the fun. (edit, I got lucky, found the link quickly

Btw, thanks to all of you for the nice words. Just couple of days ago someone was very rude towards this kind of mixes and I got angry cause I love every single dog, no matter the breed (I had a puddle, an American Shapiel (apelling? ), an Irish setter and a husky before I got the mix and they were all wonderful dogs.
