Boxers?

    Boxers?

I haven't seen any Boxer posts, so I was wondering if anyone else owned one of these dogs who love to do the kidney-bean.

3 out of the 4 in my pack are Boxers, all really lovely (atleast I think [:)]) brindles.

our amelia is part boxer (at least that is what the lady got her from told us). i love the brindle ones too! my wife and i have talked about either fostering or adopting a boxer from a boxer rescue in our area. hopefully we will be in a position to do that soon.

i would love to see some pics of your boxers. [:D]

I was kind of wondering if she had Boxer in her when I saw your sig in a different topic.  She's a gorgeous mix, do you know what other blood she has?   That's great!  I would foster a Boxer from our Green Bay rescue, but I could never let them go back.  The breed has a way of getting deep into my heart.  That goes for all and any -- even the sometimes obnoxiously-excited one my breeder has.

I'll go russle up some pictures.  Unfortunetly, I only have pictures of Zues and my late Bianca right now.  Still waiting for my pictures of Izzy and Brandy to be developed.

we were told shepherd. my wife and i think there is some pit in there as well. whatever she is, it is pretty safe to say that she has more than two types of dog breeds in her.

when we adopted her we were looking for a boxer or a boxer mix, and when we saw her we fell in love. she has been with us since january of 2005. the lady that runs the rescue had saved two litters of puppies from roaming the streets. the people that own amelia's mother, own two female boxers. they keep them chained outside all the time. the fence they had wasnt adequate to keep the pups contained so they roamed alot. the rescue helped the people fix their fence and spay the two females (they wouldnt relinquish them). they relinquished all the pups, and some of them were adopted out locally and some were transported to other rescues across the east coast.

I just adopted a 7 month old male Boxer pup this past Sunday.  His name is Lucas.  The family that had him didn't pay any attention to him and kept him in the backyard all the time.  He's sweet, cute and cuddly.   He's with me all the time...even comes to work with me.  Here's a pic of him.

Congrats on your new pup, Beach and welcome to the forum (i-dog)

I have a soft spot for boxers. They never fail to make me laugh.

Thank you, thedoc617.  I grew up with Boxers and I've always had a soft spot for them as well.  I do have another dog...she's a 14 year old chow/husky mix named Chopper. I've never had a male dog before, so having Lucas is a first for me.

This is my mother's dog. Jill is a boxer x kelpie. She's a total goofball and very active. The kelpie makes her a little easier to train, but she doesn't have any motivators but play. She plays until she falls over in exhaustion.

My dog Bernie is a boxer mix- but he acts 100% boxer. He does the kidney bean dance non-stop when he's happy and has big chunky paws he loves to box with when he plays with me or other dogs. He also has a huge head and a big, wide chest. He has typical boxer markings- but he has feathering and a long tail. I think he is possible boxer x golden. Boxers have great personalities- a close friend has two gorgeous boxers she shows in agility.
