I have a Belgian Malinois named Floyd that I got through rescue. We believe he's about six years old now and was four then. I think he's from working lines as he has a pretty heavy bone structure and is about 70 lbs. He loves to go off leash hiking and from the day he came, has had perfect recall, but probably due to undersocialization we've had to do a lot of work with fear and shyness. He's doing well now. We also have two mixed breed dogs one of which is a Belgian Malinois/Akita which is how we got interested in the breed. His name is Wolfgang and despite that rather formidable breeding he is the friendliest dog ever. We got him from homeless people so by the age of six months he'd met an awful lot of dogs and people. Having him as an example has been great for Floyd.
