Pap Eye Problems?

• Pap Eye Problems? pups4life Posted : 9/8/2009 9:08:50 PM  I was just wondering - I believe I read that Papillons sometimes have I problems? IF this is true -- what sort of eye problems? • Laurelin_429 Posted : 9/8/2009 10:28:22 PM The problem that you hear of is PRA which is progressive retinal atrophy. Parents can be screened for it through CERF screening. Even if they're screened that doesn't mean they won't develop it, it just means they don't show it now. Some can develop it later in life. Honestly though I've known a ton of papillons and I have never known one with PRA. I've only known 3 with patella problems which is the other issue you hear about. OFAs are typically done on knees. I have never heard of that breeder so I can't help you much there, sorry!
