I still can't figure out why this direct link to the photos won't work for me, so I've posted the links and you will have to copy and paste.
This first little girl, size range maybe of a miniature poodle, was going to be euthanized. She was brought to the shelter and there was no way that the city would have paid to get her leg fixed. Our group is not rich by any means, but we will make it. We just couldn't say no. She's a little sweety, although she wasn't too happy with her grooming, but then again, who would be with a broken leg. Vet said it is a stress fracture and that he sees it happen to a lot of small dogs. She probably jumped down from something that was a bit too high for her. She broke two bones, one larger one and one small one. I think he put a plate in and then a pin and wrapped all of it so that she can't move it at all. She'll go back in a couple of weeks as he said once some of the swelling has gone down that it will have loosened up and need rewrapping. She'll be with us for awhile.

Our next girl, Gypsy, she came from the shelter as well. One of our members decided she needed a grooming and that was all she wrote. She will be staying at her Boarding Kennel. She'll do much better there. She was a bit stressed at the shelter. She'll get a lot more one on one care at the kennel and get to have some doggy gym time as part of that.
